develope by Fusion FX. We took our AutoMall application a step further. First we
ported it over to the new ColdFusion 4.5 for Linux. Thanks to our friends at Steem.com for this Linux version. Then Fusion FX added the new
Commerce Module. You now have the ability to run this application with secure
connections to both CyberCash and Authorize.net. Now you have the ability to charge
dealerships and single users for several levels of account types. We also added 4
scheduled event tasks that monitor the status of every account and inventory entry to the
database. If an account has not been active for 45 days a message will be sent to that
dealership asking them to login and update their inventory. If still no activity is
reported the account is automatically disabled. The dealership will then have to request
that you enable their account after they have made adjustments to their inventory. The
other three tasks monitor the term of the account: 1. It will first notify an account
holder that the account will expire in ten days. 2. The account is disabled and waiting
for a renewal. 3. If the account remains inactive after expiration for 45 days, the
inventory, images, and account information will automatically be deleted from the database
and server.
Users can search by make, model, year and price. If there are no matching cars for
their search, it will return close matches if there are any with a message stating,
"there were no exact matches, these were the closest available matches". They
can then search again.
Once they click on a "more details" link,
they will be shown a photo (if available) and all of that cars info as well as an e-mail
form to contact the individual owner or dealer.
New users can also click on the "Sell Your Car" button and create an
account. In the new version 1.5 you can enable the new commerce module. This new module
will allow you to set your prices for accounts and connects with either CyberCash or
Authorize.net. After determining weather or not you want to use the e-Commerce module the
user is sent to either the credit card form or directly to the account data form. They
also will choose a password and use their e-mail address as a login to manage their
account or make changes or deletions.
They are then prompted to enter all the cars info and options and submit their auto
listing. Listings can either be automatically approved or set to be approved by the
Administrator once payment has been received for placing a listing. This way the
application can be used as a free AutoMall or a revenue generating AutoMall.
The admin section allows complete control of all listings and accounts as well as
managing and adding new makes, models, dealers, and advertisements. Link ads can be placed
for auto dealers, insurance, auto repair, and auto parts companies.
There is also a loan calculator for users to estimate monthly cost for financing.
Because this application is sold with open source, you can customize the application to
fit your needs. By changing graphics in the header and footer files you can make the site
look any way you want, long as you stay inside the preset table configuration. Please call
